Group Therapy
Group therapy is a great way to work on a specific mental health or behavioral issue while interacting and learning from others who may share similar experiences. Groups are a great way to practice interpersonal skills, assertive communication, socialization skills, and effective listening.
To foster trust, intimacy, and privacy, groups keep a small roster of 5-10 unrelated participants at a time.
Please contact us to learn more about current and upcoming group offerings.
Grief & Loss
This therapeutic grief processing group is for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one and are grieving the loss. The group is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It is a space to learn more about moving through grief, to connect with others, practice skills for difficult emotions, and to explore ways to remember a loved one. We strongly recommended that participants are also engaged in individual therapy though it is not a requirement.
Grief & Loss group is offered three times per year and runs for 8 weeks at a time. Participants meet in-person at our Southside Office on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30PM. Sessions are facilitated by Saskia Bolger, LCSW, CCTP and Dan Siconolfi, MSW Intern.
The cost of the group is billed to insurance - we accept Aetna, Allegheny County Medicaid, UPMC, Highmark, Optum, and United plans. Sliding scale or pro bono slot may be available to those without insurance.

Community-Based Connection
Being seen can feel hard at first. But right now we need community and support - to connect with others who share the desire for healing, even when it feels scary.
New therapy groups are forming around childhood trauma, chronic illness & disability, as well as neurodivergence and I’m inviting you. Each small group of 6-10 people has a safe supportive design and healing focus. Plus, your interests and needs help shape the group process — you have a say in what we do.
With guided support members will connect, process hardships and joys, laugh and cry, engage in creative expression, learn, practice, and most importantly — heal together.
We are all struggling. Let’s reach for each other rather than stay disconnected and afraid. These groups are a specifically affirming space for LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent people, but all are welcome. I look forward to seeing you there.
All groups are held virtually on Zoom and meet weekly in an ongoing manner.
